The Environmental Cleanup initiative, that under corporate guidance will support water purification with a particular focus on arsenic, and obtain government endorsement for environmental projects. A team has been formed to build awareness within (i) Bengalis overseas for raising funds, and (ii) various Government and non-Government agencies in India to support installation of water purification facilities in West Bengal and Bangladesh. Mr. Bhaskar Sen Ex President of Bengal National Chambers of Commerce and Mr. Surinder Lakhotia of Aditya Birla Group has volunteered to act as facilitators to the initiatives that might be launched from outside.
